Roopa Vasudevan

Roopa is a social worker with more than 3 decades of experience focused on women and children. Roopa has worked with NGO’s in various capacities from the Promotion of Indian Adoption, Counseling of young girls in the old city of Hyderabad, teaching under-privileged children & working with differently-abled children both in India & Overseas in local and international schools.

She received her Master of Arts degree in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in 1987. She is also a recipient of the National Merit Scholarship for Sociology during her Under-Graduate studies. She obtained a Diploma in Counseling from the Academy of Certified Counselors, Singapore, with Distinction.

In her free time, you will find her up early in the morning, to indulge her pet. She is passionate about gardening and is a fitness enthusiast.

She brings a strong skill set in counseling and mentoring. She believes that given the right opportunity, sufficient guidance and relevant skills, the youth of India have significant potential that must be leveraged by the country. She is very hopeful that given the right support they will become productive, contributing and positive citizens of India.
